Several years ago, I was inspired to alter my traditional “Backdoor Monkey” design and make an amigurumi monkey with two heads.

Some people find him creepy, some love him. My Mom names him “Romulus and Remus” and the name stuck.

I jotted the pattern down when I made the first monkey (light colored) and have tested it by making the dark one.

This pattern could easily be adapted to other sizes and gauges by reducing the increases and just using the suggested measurements. Or ignore the measurements as well and BE CREATIVE!

The tail and legs act as a tripod to keep him sitting up nicely so there is no need to add weight to his bum when you stuff him.

And yes, he has a “backdoor.”
