Royal Baby Princess or Prince Crown
This is a simple crown for toddlers, initially made for my grand-daughter but it had so many compliments and people asking for the pattern that I decided to add it to Ravelry.
I used the Patons Smoothie yarn as I felt it gave a firmer fabric when knit up but any DK yarn will work. I used less than 50g of yarn for mine to fit the head of a 3 year old.
I added my beads on Rows 1,3,5,7 and 9 and after 2 stitches on Row 1 which would be the 3rd stitch, 4 stitches on Row 3 which would be the 5th stitch, 6 stitches on Row 5 which would be the 7th stitch etc.but they can be added anywhere - even afterwards!
Just remember to measure the child’s head first if possible. I didn’t measure mine, but I did 17 points on the crown for this size.
