Ryan
There are two things I know about my brother:
His favorite color: black. His favorite pattern: plain.
But since I knew for a fact that he already had a plain black hat, and handknits should be a little bit special, I made a simple cable rib-patterned beanie that would stretch to fit his monstrously large head. And if he doesn’t like the cables, he can turn it inside out and voila! Plain ribbed cap.
Ryan is a simple, manly hat, and is greatly aided with the knowledge (or the learning!) of how to cable without a cable needle, as well as pointy needles for knitting 3 sts together.
