Welcome to the Sage Woodland Hood knitting pattern by Rena Greyson from The Red Fox and Gown!

♥ Lovely hood perfect for fresh, crisp walks in the woods. The garment features a peaked hood with tassel and includes hand sewing to attach the toggle closure at the front. One size. ♥

This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners with the following skills: Long tail cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, ribbing, stockinette fabric, garter stitch fabric, seed stitch fabric, tassel making, worked flat, decreases, bind off, sew seam, weave in ends.

Please note that the hood is worked using US 11/8.0 mm circular needles. Although it is worked flat, it is worked back and forth on the long edge and there are a lot of stitches to carry. Once the piece is finished, it is seamed at the back of the hood.

Technical Editor: Katherine Vaughan. This pattern has also been test knitted.

Update: The pattern format was updated in May 2013. If you have previously purchased this pattern, you will have received an update to the new version.
