Salix is a rectangular shawl inspired by
Estonian knitting tradition. The shawl is
covered with a pattern of hanging leaves,
hence its name Salix, being the Latin name
for willow.
The rectangular part is first knitted flat,
where after border stitches are picked up
and worked in the round.
