Saturday Matinee Socks are fun, quick short summer socks with a little bit of fancy, perfect for a Saturday afternoon out on the town.
These socks have a rolled cuff in the front, and a twisted rib tab cuff in the back. They are worked top down with a twisted rib heel flap. The sock instep has Art Deco inspired pattering that has the option to continue all the way to the end of the toe.
I recommend using a solid or tonal yarn for these socks so that the patterning doesn’t get lost in the shuffle, a tonal with speckles looks awesome with this too!
This pattern has both written instructions and charts and would be a great pattern for beginner chart readers.
For people who intend to only use the written instructions- only print pages 1-8
I have included pictures for people who are new to doing a gusset on magic loop, if you don’t want these picture please do not print the last two pages of the pattern
