Scalloped Edges
If you use this pattern on a project, please consider listing this as a separate project on your page. Thank you!
This pattern has been updated as of November 13th, 2011. Please make sure you are working from the latest version.
After searching the databases for a simple scalloped lace edge I could add to a top down pattern and not finding one, I turned to the ‘drawing board’ that is my computer and came up with this.
The design can be worked in the round over a multiple of 10 stitches or flat over a multiple of 10 stitches plus 2 stitches. It can be applied to nearly any edge.
Full written instructions and charts are included for both working in the round and flat.
The following stitches are used in this pattern:
knit
yarn over
k2tog
ssk
central double increase
central double decrease
Here is an example of the chart applied to the bottom of Tora Frøseth’s Little Sister’s Dress.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or issues with the pattern.
Enjoy!
