My mom’s family is Norwegian, and we always said “Scandihoovian” instead of Scandinavian. This hat emphasizes my nephew’s 1/8 Scandihoovian heritage, while simultaneously keeping his giant head warm.
(Size is based on the 1 year head size in Stephanie Pearl-McPhee’s Knitting Rules!. My nephew is 4 months, is wearing 9 month clothing, and this just fits him. Be warned).
