This cowl is named for Seahurst Park in Burien, WA. With its soaring trees, lovely hiking paths, and access to beautiful ocean views, Seahurst is delightful place to visit if you are in the area. Hopefully the shape of this cowl with its gentle crescent on one side, points on the opposite, and arrowhead lace in the center will evoke fond memories of a visit to Burien.
I love easy to wear cowls and this fun cowl combines lots of skills in one small package. With an applied I-cord edge, lace, sideways knitting, and some cute buttons, I hope you’ll love this too. You can adjust the size of this shawl by increasing or decreasing your needle to alter the width or adding repeats to make it longer. You could even seam the ends together for a cowl in the round.
