Triangular shawl with short rows

This triangular shawl is worked in wedges and stripes using short rows. The stitch pattern is an unelastic rib, which doesn’t curl at the edges and creates a fabric that looks equally nice on both sides. The stitch count of the stripes causes the different segments to alternate between facing to the right and the wrong side. The same thing applies to the contrasting garter ridges. In other words, you get a triangular shawl with the exact same pattern on both sides.
