Shines So Bright
The sun and the moon are a common theme for decorating a baby’s or child’s bedroom. What better gift to celebrate the arrival of a new baby than a celestial-themed blanket (made in a bulky-weight yarn so you can whip it up quickly)? For this design, I wanted a layout that used just four picture squares, with a textured stitch in between them,
and very little seaming. Although many of the afghans in this book actually require sewn seams to get a “seamless” effect, I love patterns that can be joined as you go, or crocheted together, rather than sewn.
