As long as you have one yarn bringing it all together, you can use bits and pieces of yarn. This pattern lets you be the designer of patterning and of yarn. I give some definite guidlelines to help you along. This is knit from one side to the other side, folding it over when finished and sewing up the sides.Easy peasy! This pattern is similar to my Cuff to Cuff Cardigan and the Traverler’s Coat. When you are finished with the sweater, you pick up stitches to do the trim. This can be a ruffle, a garter stitch or a simple crocheted edging.
I LOVE this vest! It’s truly one-of-a-kind. Great for using up your stash! Change yarns and patterning throughout vest. For instance, use moss stitch, stockinette, garter or knit some new pattern you’ve been wanting to try. It can be made short, long or in between. Uses size 9 needles.
