This hat is knitted sideways on straight needles, which allows for unusual sideways cables. The merino yarn has a lovely soft sheen which really shows off the stitch pattern, whilst of course keeping the wearer warm and snug. This pattern uses 2 x 50g balls of MillaMia naturally soft aran - merino wool in “mist”. The gauge is measured on the moss st band : 35 rows to 10cm and 4.5 sts to 2cm.
