After purchasing some beautiful silk cord I had a knitter’s brainstorm and created a silk cord basket! Silk cord isn’t as flexible as yarn, but the results were interesting. Worked from the bottom up this project is great for instant gratification, be warned that silk cord will twist on you so periodically so you’ll have to stop to untwist. All sts should be knit with cord laying flat for a uniform look. I also recommend you watch the 1958 Japanese classic film Hidden Fortress (Kakushi toride no san akunin) as you create this basket.
