This is a pattern I made up when I was learning how to crochet in high school. It’s a plain and simple drawstring bag, it works with almost any heavy enough yarn and almost any hook size, and it works up quickly.

The spiral pattern in the top pictures came from using a Red Heart Multi yarn and an H hook.

As some who have used this pattern have noted, the DCs that make up the sides are fairly loose and soft. If you want a stiffer and sturdier bag, you can continue in SC to make up the sides.
