There are full written instructions and full colour coded chart instructions. In the charts each row is individually coloured so that the stitches in each row can be seen. There is also a step by step guide for the trickier section of panel A.

This pattern is for a simple rectangular crochet shawl or stole.

The small version is designed to be made from a single skein of lace weight yarn that has 874yds (800m). Gauge is not really important here.

The shawl can be adapted to be wider, shorter, thinner, longer but any adaptations will change yarn requirements.
