Sketch Shawl
Sketch Shawl is my first shawl design. When I finished it, my husband said that it looks like a pen doodle and reminds a sketch. That’s why I named it like this.
Sketch Shawl is an asymmetrical, triangular shawl that is worked from side to side in garter stitch with lace sections.
You can easily adjust the size of the shawl, making garter sections smaller or bigger.
The pattern includes both charts and written instructions. It was tech edited and test knitted.
Materials:
Yarn: Zitron Filigran (Lace, 100% merino wool, 656 yds/3.5 oz (600 m/100 g)) of a variegated color #50. 1 skein.
You are welcome to substitute with any fingering weight yarn.
Needles: 32-40” (80-100 cm) US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles.
Other notions: tapestry needle for weaving in the ends, blocking pins and blocking mats.
Gauge: 23 sts x 45 rows = 4 x 4” (10 x 10 cm) in garter st after blocking. Depending on your gauge final
measurements and yardage can differ.
Please take into account that if your gauge is different, 1 skein of yarn won’t be enough for third lace
sections.
Finished measurements (after blocking): length 90,5” (230 cm), depth 18” (45 cm).
