This pattern is a modified version of Diane Willet’s Knitted Lace Wedding Garter (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/knitted-lace-wedd...).

I loved that pattern, but modified it so that it wouldn’t look gigantic on one of my friends who is teeny tiny. I have knitted several of these garters, and I’m happy with the pattern.

There are two versions of this pattern. Both are now available on Ravelry. When you click to download the patterns, the one on the left is the shorter version, and the one on the right is the shorter version. They should have “short” or “long” in the file title.

The long version contains the detailed instructions on how to finish the garter once you have knitted the lace. Let me know if you have any problems!
