Slice Shawlette
Is it a slice of fruit, greenery or maybe even a little slice of heaven? This shawlette is the brainchild of a lace design class I took with Sivia Harding (who could ask for a better teacher?). While the edging looks difficult, it’s a deceptively simple modified picot bind off. You don’t even have to pick up a crochet hook! Better yet, worked in a DK/ light worsted weight yarn, it knits up quickly for near instant gratification.
The sample shown used EXACTLY 300 yards (2 skeins) of Manos Silk Blend but I would buy a third skien for insurance as every knitters gauge varies.
This pattern includes both written and charted instructions. The stitch repeat of the center chart has a different number of stitches than the stitch repeats of the left and right charts. Knitters should be okay with working these charts simultaneously
