Small Tractor
This pattern is for a small tractor… it can be used to make a keychain, a Christmas tree decoration or a toy, simply depending on the weight yarn that you use to make it.
For example:
Toy = Chunky yarn (bulky / weight 5) & 5mm hook = 15cm long x 11.5cm tall
Decoration = Aran yarn (worsted/ weight 4) & 4mm hook = 10cm long x 8.5cm tall
Keychain = 4-ply yarn (sport/ weight 2) & 2.5mm hook = 8cm long x 5cm tall
The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.
You will need the following colours / quantities:
- Main Body Colour - I used red (approx. 25m).
- Wheels Colour - I used white (approx. 3m).
- Tyres / Front Grill Colour - I used black (approx. 25m).
- Windows Colour - I used dark grey (approx. 8.5m).
Please note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide and are based on using aran / worsted weight yarn with a 4mm hook. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.
You will also need:
- A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen.
- Some toy stuffing.
- A length of cream / pale yellow yarn or thread for adding the headlights.
- Your choice of twine or yarn to use as a hanging loop (if your tractor is intended as a decoration).
- A keychain clasp (if your tractor is intended as a keychain).
- Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
Thank you.
