Snowy Owl Amigurumi
This little owl is so cute. I call mine Hedwig and it goes on my Christmas tree with the rest of my crochet/knit harry potter ornaments. When finished this little guy, or gal comes in at three and three quarter inches tall. I looked and looked for a good pattern, but couldn’t find one, so I made my own pattern. I included some options for customization so each owl can be unique. I hope you all enjoy your very own owls. I would love to know what you name him/her, and feel free to send a picture too.
Materials:
o White yarn- I used red heart super saver
o Black yarn- I used mostly red heart super saver and a little bit of caron simply soft
o F/5 3.75mm. hook
o tapestry needle
o Polyfill or other stuffing of your choice
o Safety eyes or other eyes- I used 10 mm safety eyes.
Additional Notes:
Read through the whole pattern first so that there aren’t any surprises. You should especially read the options section, as you may want to try them. Otherwise this pattern is worked in the round from top down, and I suggest keeping a tighter grip on your yarn otherwise you may have polyfill poking out. I tend to crochet semi tightly, and I didn’t have a problem. A smaller hook might help.
After I made this Snowy Owl, my brother requested a penguin (found here), and it turned out pretty cute too. If you are interested in purchasing both of these patterns, there is a coupon code to save $1 here.
