The scarf is knit using modern approach: the center panel is knit first, then edging is added to both sides. The garter rows frame the center panel and separate it from the edging rows. The center panel uses traditional Sofia motif from Haapsalu sall by Siiri Reimann & Aime Edasi.

The merino scarf will hold the blocking better than alpaca.
