On the cover of Dirty by Sonic Youth there is a crocheted toy. Having searched high low to buy or find a pattern I was surprised to find there appeared to be nothing available. So I listened to the album, spent hour upon hour staring at the album cover did my best to reverse engineer the toy. This pattern is the result. You can’t see the shoulders of the toy any of the pictures I found, so I took inspiration from the music picture tried to make a body limbs that I felt fitted the head on the album cover. I hope it gives you stabs at happiness…

This toy is really easy to make, all you need to have mastered are simple increases decreases, double crochet the magic ring technique (for which there are many helpful tutorials online).
