These items are worked as one continuous round, but written to show each round, so a stitch marker is required to mark the end of the round. Full instructions with photos are given in the pattern.

Pattern available with either UK or US terms - choice available to download

The sides of the doily and bowl are not even.

Materials required: For both bowl and doily 165 yards/150 metres (approx) No 12 crochet cotton, 1.50 mm crochet hook. For either item individually approximately 85 yards/75 metres No 12 crochet cotton.

Note: The doily and bowl in the photos were made using Anchor Freccia Crochet cotton No 12 colour 397 - silver Grey, which is available in a 50 g ball (approx 285 metres)

Finished sizes
Doily:
approx 9-inches/23 cm across at widest part
Bowl: approx 6-inches/15 cm across, but will depend on shaping

Gauge: Rounds 1-3 on either item approximately 1½-inches/4 cm across at widest part

Smaller cobweb doilies and bowls can be worked for a halloween setting, using No 80 crochet cotton and a size 0.60 mm hook. These will be approximately half the size shown above and the doily for example could then be used as a coaster.
