Sporty Ped
Toe-up knit sock featuring seamless toe and heel. No heel flaps, no short rows, less chance for making holes than traditional sock patterns. This sock fits closely to the ankle and has a short ribbed cuff. The cuff can very easily be extended to make as long as you like (just keep knitting!).
I designed this toe-up knit sock for my daughter who has always hated sock seams. The heel design came from my dislike of making heel flaps and short rows. I also prefer the look of this heel because the striping pattern more closely matches that of the rest of the sock.
This pattern has step-by-step instructions with plenty of pictures as well as instructions for provisional cast-on. Instructions for grafting can be found on my website (www.dogknitty.wordpress.com) Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
