Spring Leaves
A decorative sweater with an eye-catching all-over leafy pattern that keeps you warm on the rainy days of spring, even if the yarn-overs make it a bit breezy. Choose another colour, and you can turn the sweater into “Autumn Leaves”:)
Spring Leaves is knitted in the round from the bottom up – if seaming is not your favourite activity, you will love this project.

- Recommended and tested sport weight yarns: Madelinetosh Tosh Sport, Cascade Yarns 220 Sport, Barka Libikóka
- recommended and tested DK weight yarn: Phildar Oxygene
- The yarn I used for the sample project is SPORT weight (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 150 m / 50 g) knitted with slightly larger needles to get a light fabric. This gauge can be easily obtained with DK weight as well, however, in this case the sweater will be slightly heavier.
Needles
- 3.5 mm (US 4) and 4 mm (US 6) circular needle, 60 and 100 cm (24 and 40 “) or longer
- 3.5 mm (US 4) and 4 mm (US 6) dpn
- or use needle size that gives you the correct gauge
Notions
- Stitch markers
- Round counter (optional but recommended)
- Yarn needle
Gauge
- 21 sts / 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4 “ in stockinette stitch, using 4 mm (US 6) needles
- 23 sts / 27 rounds = 10 cm / 4 “ in pattern, using 4 mm (US 6) needles
