Sprinkled Hearts Sack Hat
This pattern is something I have been working on for a while, I got the idea while I was looking around at some cup cozies and some failed knit stitch hats I have tried in the past. This one uses a pretty simple repeat for the hearts and is nice and quick to work up.
- Heart stitch is made by: insert hook with main color on hook, yarn over with accent color, close out stitch with main color.
- How you carry your yarn is up to you, you can hide it under the stitches or carry it outside, you can also go up a hook size and line the hat with fabric.
Sizes are as follows:
Baby -14” Circumference
Toddler- 16” Circumference
Child- 18” Circumference
Youth/Sm.Adult- 20” Circumference
Lg.Adult- 22” Circumference
If you need to adjust the hat to a smaller or larger circumference, you can do so by adjusting the beginning chain by 8 stitches.
Linked Hearts brim is made by doing HDC in the 3rd loop, be sure you know this technique, if not, YouTube is your friend!
