Great Fourth of July or Flag Day Doily.
By changing the thread size, you can create a 14 or 15 inch doily. You can also end the pattern on round 13 for a 6 inch doily.

For the 15 inch doily, I used crochet cotton size 10 in red & white and navy blue/silver metallic in size #8 perle cotton.
Size 6 steel hook.

For the 14 inch doily, I used crochet cotton size 5 in Red and White, and doubled perle cotton size 8 in navy blue.
Size 3 steel hook.
