DESIGN INFORMATION
Ojete is the Spanish word for “eyelet” and this cardigan is an homage to the visual impact that a tiny little yarn over can have. A basic v-neck cardigan is elevated by the addition of a stripe & eyelet pattern. Take the opportunity to play with different color options to ensure that it remains a staple piece in your wardrobe.

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION
Ojete is worked in pieces from the bottom up and seamed together after blocking. The fronts and back start with 1x1 ribbing that transitions into the Stripe & Eyelet stitch pattern, ending with easy stockinette stitch in the main color.

The set-in sleeves are worked from the cuff to the upper arm, and feature a smaller repeat of the Stripe & Eyelet pattern. Stitches are increased from the cuff to the upper arm for a slim & flattering fit.

After the pieces are blocked and seamed, the button band is worked in 1x1 rib and bound off with the contrast color for a special accent.

Brooklyn Tweed Loft - Fingering; 100% American Targhee-Columbia wool 50g (1.76 oz) / 275 yards (251 meters);
MC - 6 (7, 7, 8, 8) (9, 9, 10, 10) skeins
CC - 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (2, 2, 2, 2) skeins

GAUGE
20 sts and 33 rows = 4” over Stockinette stitch.

NEEDLES
US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needles (or size to obtain gauge)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) corresponding to 34 (38, 42, 46, 50) (54, 58, 62, 64)” finished circumference at bust, when buttoned. See schematic on Pg. 14.
Cardigan is meant to be worn with 4” of positive ease at the bust.
Sample shown is size 38”, worn with 4” of positive ease on a 34” bust.

Tapestry needle, blocking wires, blocking pins, stitch markers (6).

NOTES
Work the first and last stitch of each row as a k1 to create a neat selvedge for seaming.
