His music was unique, executed with perfection, sometimes it took a little to get used to, but some of it found its way straight into your ears and your legs: Prince.
Was it rock or soul? Funk or pop? Probably everything all at once. He just did what he liked, and that included his stage outfits: Ruffles, suspenders, naked legs, head scarves, tailored suit – Prince did not care about any kind of stereotype. When he died in spring 2016 at only 57 years of age, the world lost one of its most inventive musicians. A man who showed us that the most impressive works of art are created outside the box.
Prince was especially fond of the color purple: His most famous album was “Purple Rain”, and on every album cover, you could find artwork with at least a small element in this color. So maybe he would have liked the yarn of this club shipment as well: green and purple sprinkles on a silver-shimmering base combined with a glowing semi-solid purple. The “Plum Leaf” wrap also mirrors Prince’s love of paisley patterns which are derived from leaf shapes: Starting with an oversized stylized leaf, you will knit an asymmetric stole that lets the variegated yarn shine prettily.

Zweite Anleitung aus dem Strickmich! Club 2017. Während der ersten sechs Monate war diese Anleitung nur für Mitglieder des Strickmich! Club verfügbar.

Seine Musik war virtuos, handwerklich unübertroffen, manchmal etwas sperrig, aber vieles ging direkt ins Ohr oder in die Beine: Prince. War es Rock oder Soul? Funk oder Pop? Wahrscheinlich war es alles gleichzeitig. Er machte einfach, was er gut fand, auch bei seinen Bühnen-Outfits: Strapse, Rüschen, nackte Beine, Kopftuch, edler Anzug – auch hier sprengte Prince jedes Klischee und war darum so einmalig. Als er im Frühjahr 2016 im Alter von nur 57 Jahren starb, hat die Welt einen ihrer kreativsten Musiker verloren. Einen Mann, der uns zeigte, dass die besten Werke
außerhalb jeder Schublade entstehen.
Die Farbe Lila mochte Prince besonders: Sein bekanntestes Album hieß immerhin „Purple Rain“ („Lila Regen“), und auf fast allen seinen Plattenhüllen war irgendetwas Violettes zu sehen. Das Clubgarn in dieser Lieferung hätte ihm darum vielleicht auch gefallen: Lilafarbene und leuchtend grüne Sprenkel auf silber-schimmerndem Grund, kombiniert mit kräftigem Violett. Die Stola „Plum Leaf“ („Pflaumenblatt“) greift Princes Faible für verschnörkelte Blattmuster (Paisley) auf: Von einem überdimensionierten stilisierten Blatt ausgehend strickt man ein asymmetrisches Tuch, das die hübsche Färbung des Garns besonders gut zur Geltung bringt.

Die Anleitung selbst ist korrekt, nur die Maschenzahl nach Reihe 4 im Übergangsteil ist verkehrt angegeben. Richtig muss es heißen:

“75 Maschen bzw. Maschenzahl nach Reihe 3 + 1 halbiert.”

Es tut mir sehr leid, dass dieser Fehler passiert ist!
In der PDF-Version der Anleitung ist der Fehler bereits korrigiert.
