Striped Graduated Scarf
Clarification for the short-row shaping:
Short-row shaping is done at both ends of the scarf to create the tapered look at both ends. On the RS, short row shaping is done on the left end of the scarf (on your left as you look at the RS of the scarf), so work across until you make the wrapped stitch. Once the wrapped stitch is made, turn the work to the WS. On the WS, short row shaping is done on the left end of the scarf (on your left as you look at the WS of the scarf), so work across until you make the wrapped stitch. Once the wrapped stitch is made, turn the work to the RS. This completes the short row shaping for both ends.
Pattern clarification:
For the first short row only (RS), work across until 6 sts remain on the needle. Wrap and turn. Work across until 6 sts remain on the needle (WS). Work two rows straight (no short row shaping and only work up to the last wrapped stitch --- do not knit over the wrapped stitches).
For the subsequent short rows, work across until 3 sts remain on the needle. Wrap and turn. Work across until 3 sts remain on the needle. Work two rows straight.
The wrapped stitches and the unworked stitches to the left of each wrapped stitch will be picked up later.
