This tailored wrap sweater, with a modern interpretation of a traditional Fair Isle design, is done in pieces and seamed, with set-in sleeves that are started in the round with the cap worked flat. The ensures that the deep fair isle on the sleeve cuffs is done in the round. The small amount of color work at the shoulders is worked flat; working Fair Isle flat requires some patience but in this sweater is well worth the effort.

Blue Sky Alpacas Melange is a glorious, drapey yarn with an astonishing array of beautiful colors. You will need approximately 9 (10, 11, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19) hanks of MC (shown in #813 Pomegranate), and 1 hank each of the contrast colors (shown in #808 Relish, #800 Cornflower, #508 Medium gray, and #507 Light gray).

Special thanks go to Mary Jane Mucklestone for inspiring the stripe configuration and palette.
