Stubenmonster
Back in January, I dreamed that my buddy Elli Stubenrauch and I designed a project together. Call us both crazy, but it seemed like my subconscious was on to something! We threw some ideas around and in about two minutes flat decided that fairisle monsters were the way to go.
This is my project… You can find Elli’s monster, Tuppy Von Monster (and tons of her other fabulous designs) by searching for Elliphantom on Ravelry. For more of my work look under TanisKnits.
While 14 colors of yarn are used, the Stubenmonster is an ideal project for using up stash yarn or leftover scraps from that fairisle sweater you made last year. Feel free to use a variety of yarns, as long as they are all the same gauge. Because this is a toy, stitch and row gauge aren’t as important as they are when knitting a garment.
