Summer Lace Headband
“There is no greater adornment for a woman than the beauty of her own hair” unless, of course, that hair is stylishly held back with a gorgeous lace headband made with skill and a fabulous color thread! You don’t have to worry about hair catching in ties or tangling on buttons, either-- this pattern uses sewn-in elastic for a better, more comfortable fit.
Yarn: This pattern recommends #5 thread. It’s sturdy and will hold its shape and last for ages, it has a lovely sheen, and gives crisp definition to your stitches. Best of all, it comes in dozens of colors, so you can make headbands to match all your favorite outfits. Or use your favorite fingering weight yarn. You’ll need about 100 yds
Materials: 1.65mm hook, scissors, pony-tail holder/hair elastic, sharp needle for sewing on hair elastic.
This pattern uses US terminology. Written and fully charted. Photo tutorial included to show sewing on the elastic.
