I designed this pattern to be one in a series of five socks in the Sock Knitters Pentathlon 2008. At the time I named it “Summer Olympics Medals Socks 2008”.

I have changed it’s name to “I remember Mama”, as I had written it in memory of my mom who spent a lot of her time knitting wonderful things.
