The Sunapee Shawl, the third installment of the Vacation Knits - Vol 1: Summers In New England collection, is inspired by the breathtaking scenery of the Lake Sunapee Region of New Hampshire.

The shawl is fun to knit and transition beautifully from stockinette to lace which is reminiscent of the shifting landscape as you travel from mountains to lakes to the coast.

PATTERN NOTES
The shawl is worked from the top-down in stockinette stitch, beginning with a garter tab, increasing 4 stitches every RS row. The Stockinette Section transitions to the Ridge Section followed by a winged out Lace Section. The Edging is knitted-on sideways with the live stitches of the shawl body.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Finished Measurements: About 54” wide and 21” deep (blocked)

Don’t play “yarn chicken” on the edging, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE or work in contrast color.
