Sunburst Spectacular (poncho/shawl)
I was tasked with designing a one-skein garment for the goodie bags for participants at an upcoming knitting workshop. Since the workshop will be in mid-April, I wanted to make something Spring/Summer-ish, fun and unique … thus was born the Sunburst Spectacular!
Just in time for Summer evenings … a lovely, lacy poncho/shawl that shows the multi-colors to perfection! Sample is knit using one skein of Tofutsies, but any sock-weight yarn would work equally well – and the colorways available in the hand-dyes are amazing!
Finished dimensions of the in-the-round:
• neck – 9” wide by 3” deep
• length – 17” from neck to hem-point
• hem circumference – approx 128”
The directions are both charted and row-by-row with notes for changing the design from in-the-round to a flat, shawl-style are included.
