Sunshower Baby Blanket
This bright baby blanket is worked seamlessly from the center out, starting with a lacy star motif, and continuing in a rainbow of stripes. A dk-weight yarn, knit at a looser gauge, gives it a lovely drape, perfect for a blanket.
Pattern has both charted and written instructions.
When I bound off and spread it out to show my 15-month-old, I asked “do you like it?” and she surprised me when she responded “wow!”. These days, it’s usually just “no”. :)
There you go, toddler approved!
Yarn requirements:
350 yards of main color
50-80 yards for each of 6 stripe colors.
(thinnest stripe uses approx 50 yds, thickest uses approx 80)
This would be a great project for using up dk-weight leftovers.
a light worsted-weight yarn would also work well with this pattern
