Sweet Cicely
This refined sweater, knit top-down and in one piece, features cables, lace, and twisted stitches. It can be dressed up with a silk skirt for a winter party or dressed down with jeans and boots for walking around the neighborhood admiring holiday lights.

Blue Sky Alpacas Melange, 100% baby alpaca (110 yds/100m, 50g skein); color # 817 Saffron: 8 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16 skeins
Needles
US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles
US 6 (4.0mm) dpns for I-cord
Gauge
For St st: 23 sts and 32 rounds = 4” (10 cm) with smaller needles
For the Cabled I-cord: 23 rows = 4” (10 cm) on larger needles
Note: It is critical that the row gauge of the Cabled I-cord matches the Stockinette stitch gauge. (The stitch gauge of the cabled I-cord is not critical.)
Main motif (unstretched):
Sizes XS-M (59 sts x 24 rows) 7” wide x 2.75” tall;
Sizes L-3X (65 sts x 24 rows) 8” wide x 2.75” tall.
