Initially featured in the Fall 2008 issue, we couldn’t resist bringing this beauty back for you to enjoy. Just as lovely as in the first publication, this pattern is perfect for adapting to any size you like, from scarves and tops to different sized throws—and more!

Finished Size 42” wide and 58” long.
Yarn from Interweave Crochet Spring 2020 Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Aran (distributed by LoveCrafts) (50% wool, 50% acrylic; 196 yd 180 m/ 3½ oz 100 g): #811 bright peach, 9 skeins.
Hook Size I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge 15 sc = 4”; 1 rep = 3½“ and 4 rows = 2½” in lace patt before blocking.

Foundation requires 12 stitches for each repeat plus 1 edge stitch. Throw shown is 12 lace repeats wide and 22 repeats long.

Work has no obvious right side (RS) or wrong side (WS).

When working in shells, work in chain-1 space unless otherwise stated.

Make a rectangle the desired length, working any number of lace pattern repeats to make a scarf to a stole to a throw (see the following Tip).

TIP: Adapt this pattern using the same yarn and gauge as follows:
Skinny scarf: 145 yd; Fsc 13; Lace Reps Wide 1
Scarf: 250 yd; Fsc 25; Lace Reps Wide 2
Stole: 700 yd; Fsc 61; Lace Reps Wide 5
