A sweet nothing to brighten any day. But if you need an excuse, they’d be great in an Easter Basket or as a Valentine.

Fiddly, fast and fun, Sweeties are a great way to use up your worsted scraps (the largest amount needed is for the dress, about 16 yards) and say “I love you enough to immortalize you in yarn” all at the same time. When knit to gauge, they are 5.5” from bald head to bobble toe. The possibilities are limited only by the colors of your scrap yarn.

These little folks are my most complicated pattern to date: in addition to the usual (increases, decreases, i-cord and grafting) you’ll need to knit on just a few stitches in the round, be able to seam in adverse conditions and not cry when I ask you to make a bobble (it’s OK, I made a video if are confused by the written instructions). As always, I am happy to provide pattern support if you run into trouble. What they lack in Easy-Peasy, they make up for in Cutie-Pie and are all-in-all a quick and interesting knit.

For easy of use, a “Sweeties Parts Guide” is included in the downloads. This handy reference will help you determine which parts are needed for which doll.

PS If anyone makes a paper doll chain garland, I’d love to see a picture!
