Sycamore Socks
Growing up I lived in a little row home in the city of Reading, Pennsylvania. It was right next to a park that was called “The Pike” which was one city block long and two deep. Along the north side were the swing sets; my absolute favorites. When I was small I spent hours on them, always leaning back and looking up at the leaves of the line of sycamore trees that provided shade.
When Dana of Unwind Yarn Company offered me her exquisite Duckie colorway, my first thought was how stark and rich the sycamore pods looked against the white cement sidewalk as they fell. The interaction of the pattern with the yarn only served to magnify that nostalgia.
The sizes are standard sock sizes for adult feet and the pattern is easily adjustable.
