Allover lace with a dramatic sloped hem sends the typical country-style tiered skirt packing with this high-fashion piece. Worked in 100% linen in a variation of the feather-and-fan stitch, short rows are incorporated between the tiers to achieve the look.

Skirt is worked from the waist down. After completing the waistline casing, the lace pattern is worked in the round with increases to form the tiers. Short rows within the second tier, worked entirely in-pattern, force the final tier to slope upward at the front and downward at the back.

Charts and written instructions are provided to guide you through the wraps and turns of short rows in a lace motif that is patterned on every row with varying stitch counts. A challenging project to be sure, with stunning results.
