When I noticed that one of my friends had a tattoo on the back of her neck that I had never seen because her hair always covered it I thought about doing a similar thing to a knitted piece. Hence, the tattoo tank is born.

The A-line shape and flouncy edge of this shell benefits from the weighty drape of the silk/bamboo blend yarn. The heart place at the high neck on the back adds a bit of surprise and interest…just like a tattoo!

This is a super easy project and can have HBD added to give a better fit for the more ample knitter :-)

This piece is worked in the round to the armholes, then front and back are worked separately. For the smallest size, you many want to purchase a third skein, as the second skein will be completely used up.
