Teaching Scarf
This pattern is for beginning knitters and the people who teach them. The first time I taught someone to knit, I wanted a pattern that would give my student two things – practice on the basic skills, and a finished project they could be proud of when they were done. This pattern is designed to provide both of those. Knitting this scarf will provide practice with the following skills: cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, knit two together, purl two together, switching between knitting and purling within a row, cast off and reading a basic pattern. Teachers may make as many copies of this pattern as they need, but the copyright information must remain intact.
This is a much better pattern because of my test knitters - many thanks to them!
I hope you enjoy working with this pattern - please let me know if you run into any problems. And please remember to link your project to the pattern - I love seeing what people do with my patterns!
And if you like this pattern, please consider joining the Knitting In Between group!
