To use double-ended hook with 2 colors, have ball of each color on either side of you. Work forward pass with first color for a few stitches, turn, slide work to other end of hook and use other end of hook and use other end of hook to work return pass with 2nd color until 3 loops remain on hook; turn and continue forward pass. Continue alternating forward and return passes until all stitches in row are finished.

Hat is worked from top down; mitts are worked from the bottom up. There is no seeming.

Move markers up a row as you work.

When working in Tsc, work off last 2 loops of stitch with next color when changing colors.

There is no joining at end of rounds; hat is worked in a spiral.
