The Car Trip Basket Hat is a fun and easy little pattern.
Knit on circular needles and then on DPN’s to close the top of the hat.

I knit this hat on our way to a short vacation getaway as my husband drove. It took me about two hours and I really am not a fast knitter.

I used Naturally Caron yarn in Silver Service and it gave the stitches some definition and a little sheen.
I also knit it in a cream color and it looks just as great.

The gauge is not important, although i would just follow the yarn recommendations and you should be fine. One skein is plenty!

The hat is not meant to fit too tight but also is not too slouchy.
