This was 2015’s Mystery Knit Along shawl. Choose three colors to knit this playful shawl. Begin with Westknits shortcut rows and increase to built the striped section. Continue with a contrasting color to knit a large cable that grows across the edge. Pick up stitches in a third color to knit the wavy border. Choose between a simple I-cord bind off or add decorative picot clusters for an embellished edge.

40” / 100cm US 4 / 3.5mm circular

Gauge
22 sts & 52 rows = 4” / 10cm in garter stitch

Take time to check gauge. It does not have to be exact as long as you like the drape of your fabric. I recommend a fabric that has movement without the stitches looking too loose or sloppy. If you have a gauge like 18 or 20 sts = 4” / 10cm then you may need a bit more than the requested yardage.
