Gauge is not SUPER crucial - designed to fit a variety of kids’ sizes. If you need a slightly bigger hat, use a slightly larger set of needles!

You will also need a set of DPNs in the size needle you choose to use for the crown shaping.

If you use a Bulky Wool yarn (I used the Berrocco as it was specified to be non-itchy and washable) you COULD lightly felt the ears to make them stick out…
