Build the gentle ruffles as you go. Knit from one end to the other. You decide when and how long is the middle of the shawl, Then decreases from there on to finish.
Knit with a Rolled top edge to hold the shape of the shawl. I have updated with starting the edge from beginning of the shawl.
Easy increases and short rows (no wrap) turns .(Don’t let the words “short row” to discourage you from tring this shawl)

For those of you already downloaded before, Please download the updated pattern for new top edge addition.

A special note on yarn usage: allocate 30% to first Increase section, 40% to Center section then 30% to Decrease section. This way you will not worry about that you may run short or have too much left over.
This method can apply to Barcelona shawl, Marseille shawl or Catalonia shawl.
